I photographed Sara and Michael’s wedding back in 2015 on a very rainy day. We lucked out with some winter sunshine for their maternity photos between Christmas and the new year. Michael knit some cute little sweaters and booties for the babies, which they brought along for the session. I’m so excited that they’re living […]
Couple Portraits Posts 1
I like to focus on capturing natural expressions and real emotion in my portrait sessions, so I lightly pose couples and direct them using prompts and conversation. Some of these sessions are partially or totally candid, which is a great way to document an important part of your relationship (ex: walking your dog, hanging out at a favourite cafe or pub, doing a hobby together).

Kathryn and Courtney are Engaged
Kathryn and Courtney visited last week for a golden hour session down at Dallas Road with their adorable pup, Zelda. They’re my only remaining wedding for this year due to… well, you know. After spending some time with them, I’m so excited to photograph their wedding. They’re fun, silly, cute, and somewhat uncomfortable with PDA. […]
Kayla and Kathryn are Engaged
So things are kind of crazy out there right now and, on top of everything else, that means weddings are having to be cancelled or rescheduled. Kayla and Kathryn were going to get married in Victoria in April, which will sadly not be happening. I’m hoping they’ll be able to reschedule and their vendors, including […]
Kieron and Katie are Engaged
Katie and Kieron waited until the weekend before their wedding (this coming Saturday) to do their engagement mini session because they were hoping to avoid the rainy winter weather. Well, it rained. And we all got pretty cold and wet, but at least we got some pretty photos out of it.
Samantha and Michael are Engaged
Samantha and Michael wanted some engagement photos before their destination wedding, so we met up at Finnerty Gardens at UVic in October. It was a bit darker than I expected, but some pretty evening light snuck in through the trees. The fall colours were pretty stunning too. It was a lot of fun getting to […]
Lori and Chad are Engaged
Lori and Chad visited Victoria last summer and we managed to get in a mini engagement session for their Victoria wedding coming up this summer. We met up at one of my favourite spots, Ross Bay beach. I know I always shoot there, but it’s just so pretty and usually doesn’t have a lot of […]
Susan and Michael are Married
Susan and Michael were married in August and we had a mini portrait session at Ross Bay beach later that evening. They recently moved to BC, so the beach setting was perfect. I loved her purple dress with her wild curly hair and how perfectly they coordinated with each other. I joked about one of […]
Nicole and Brendan are Engaged
Apparently this is my second blog of the year. Good thing it’s a great one. Nicole and Brendan are getting married next year and I’m so excited to work with them after this adorable golden hour engagement session at Cattle Point last weekend. They showed up with similar thoughts to many of my clients about […]
Marina and Travis are Engaged
Marina and Travis live in Florida, but they’re getting married on Vancouver Island in October. They visited for a little wedding planning last month and we squeezed in a mini session at Cattle Point. Luckily, they missed most of the smoke we’ve had recently and we ended up with a super sunny day. Marina is a […]
In-Home Anniversary Session
Carmen and Brad wanted some photos to celebrate their fifth anniversary as a couple. They chose their first apartment together as the location, which I love because it’s so personal. Plus, their place is super stylish and bright. And they’re pretty cute together too.
