I photographed Anne and John’s wedding back in August 2010. They’ve since moved to Ontario, but came back to visit Victoria this summer. We had lunch and did a mini anniversary photo shoot. They’re just as adorable as ever.

Diana and Simon visited Victoria last weekend to get married at Abigail’s Hotel. It’s been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding with no guests at all, and this one reminded me how much I love them. These two have been a couple for a really long time, but they couldn’t stop kissing each other. It was like, “ok, guys, you have to stop kissing for a minute so we can perform the ceremony.” Yes, there were a couple of kisses right at the start. I’m still not sure if that’s allowed.
Kirsten and Jamie live in Yellowknife and are getting married at Laurel Point in Victoria this summer. I was so excited to finally meet them a couple of weeks ago when they were in town. We had some coffee at the Union Pacific and headed out for an engagement session. I’m loving how so many of my brides for this year have killer smiles, including Kirsten and her adorable dimples. Jamie wasn’t super keen on having his photo taken, but I think he did a great job. He didn’t complain and I see lots of genuine smiles in the photos. That’s love, people.
I met with Anne and John on a very cold and windy day last week. We were originally going to shoot on Dallas Road, but decided to head somewhere a little warmer. We looked for cover in Market Square, Solstice Cafe, and finally braved the ocean breezes near the Delta Ocean Pointe. This engagement session was a gift to the couple from Anne’s maid of honour Jessica, which I think was a great idea. I had fun wandering around with Anne and John and they were quite full of smiles, despite the weather. We even managed to find a little bit of sun.
