I photographed Anne and John’s wedding back in August 2010. They’ve since moved to Ontario, but came back to visit Victoria this summer. We had lunch and did a mini anniversary photo shoot. They’re just as adorable as ever.

Below are blog posts featuring couple portraits, engagement sessions, anniversary photos and documentary photo sessions featuring couples. Most take place in Greater Victoria, BC, which is a great location for portraits due to it’s beautiful beaches, mountain views, and stunning gardens.
I like to focus on capturing natural expressions and real emotion in my portrait sessions, so I lightly pose couples and direct them using prompts and conversation. Some of these sessions are partially or totally candid, which is a great way to document an important part of your relationship (ex: walking your dog, hanging out at a favourite cafe or pub, doing a hobby together).

Marissa and Kesh are Engaged
I’m neck deep in editing at the moment, so I’ll keep this brief. Marissa and Kesh braved a very cold night recently to get their engagement photos taken at Cattle Point. There were some awkward smiles at first, but I think they got used to it in the end and I love the results.
