This is an illustrated list of unique wedding venues on Vancouver Island, BC (not including Greater Victoria) including schools, historical sites, museums, and mountains. I’ve included links to the venues and their wedding information pages, along with links to blog posts from weddings I’ve photographed there.
I love a wedding at a different sort of venue, which tends to come along with some amazing, unique photo opportunities. These venues usually provide an interesting spot for portraits, along with the ceremony and/or reception.

Weddings can happen on a white sandy beach, in lush fern gardens, in a marquee tent, or inside or on the decks surrounding the Timber Cookhouse. “The greatest successes come at the hands of those inclined to work with our natural surroundings. Mixing old and new traditions, and combining contemporary elements with those found in nature is our specialty.”
