Sarah and Guillaume are Married

October 5, 2013 by Lara Eichhorn

Sarah and Guillaume got married on a rainy day in August. I love these intimate weddings, especially when they’re at a unique location, like the oceanfront cottage where Sarah’s parents were staying on Galiano Island. The owners opened up their home to the couple and their guests for post-ceremony toasting and conversation. I think my favourite part of this place was the chicken in a tree.

The ceremony was originally planned to be on the beach, but rain and slippery rocks made the couple consider other options. After scouting out some possible places with Guillaume and his father when we arrived, Sarah agreed that the beach was still the best option, despite having to walk down slippery wooden stairs and duck under a fallen tree trunk to get to the site. Now that’s a laid back bride who’s up for anything.

We had a wonderful time visiting Galiano and meeting all of you. Thanks again for having us, Sarah and Guillaume.

Sorry, I'm not currently taking bookings for sessions or weddings. I have some availability for private photography lessons and in person workshops will hopefully resume soon.
