Kristin and Dylan are Married

Kristin and Dylan’s late June wedding at Sea Cider was a beautiful, fun event. These two, and their wedding party, were very chill and cheerful – super easy to work with. The morning started out, for me, with a relaxed few hours watching the girls getting ready at Abigail’s Hotel. Kristin and Dylan did their first look in the library (cute expressions, right?) and then we headed to Sea Cider for portraits.

Don’t you love Kristin’s elegant style? I especially like that she chose to wear a lace jacket over her dress, giving it a bit more uniqueness than the typical strapless dress (though this lady can totally pull off strapless with her amazing muscles). The guys’ grey suits were a perfect addition for a summer cidery wedding.

The couple adopted a couple of my favourite new traditions: walking down the aisle together and having a bunch of pies instead of a wedding cake. They also had Paul O’Brien’s family provide the music, which lead to lots of fun folk dancing and even Dylan’s sister singing a few songs with the band.

On my pre-wedding questionnaire, they wrote: “We’re (begrudgingly) having a first dance; it won’t be a slow song.” Well, it was a slow song. And they danced, all night. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride and groom dance so much together at a wedding. Looking at photos of the two of them makes me grin.
