Do you find studio newborn portraits a little silly and overdone? Not really into putting your baby in a basket or bucket?
How about documenting your new little one’s impact on your lives instead?
A Fresh 48 session is a documentary family session done within 48 hours of your baby’s birth. It’s meant to tell the story of your family becoming bigger, of your life changing forever.
This session can take place at the hospital, at home, or a mix of both.
What do these sessions document?
Tiny hands and feet. Meeting the grandparents, siblings, or other family and friends for the first time. Feeding, rocking, and cuddling the baby. Going home from the hospital.
These sessions are totally unposed and typically photographed without added lighting. You can go about your activities, bonding with your new child, and ignore my presence. I’m there to document the magic of your reality.

What’s Included?
The session includes approximately an hour of photography, an online slideshow and gallery, and a download of high resolution edited images. The cost of a documentary session is normally $375 plus GST for one hour, but since I haven’t had the chance to document a newborn yet, I’ll bump your session up from the next lowest package. So for the $250 mini session price, you’ll get the hour session and for $375, you’ll get two hours. You can check out my full pricing here.
