I always feel extra special when an avid photographer contacts me to do portraits (or a wedding) for them.  Warren, in charge of choosing a wedding photographer, contacted me a few months ago and we got out to take some engagement portraits and get to know each other this past Saturday.  He’s pretty into photography, which makes me a bit nervous, but also makes me feel like I must be doing something right.

Laura and Warren are still working out some details for their August wedding, but don’t seem too worried.  I can tell that these two, and their friends and family, are going to have a super fun wedding day.  They were a little unsure of what to do in front of the camera at first, which I can fully understand as I’m also used to being behind the lens.  It didn’t take them long to warm up though.  They had a ton of energy and creative, playful ideas.  They even brought props, which you can see near the end of this post.

It took me quite a while to go through the photos and choose which ones to blog, because there were so many great, different images.  I’m still going to have to spend a lot more time to figure out which ones to edit and deliver.  Thanks for giving me the best problem a photographer could ask for, guys.

Out come the props, aka their secret identities: Mr. Beaver and Ms. Racoon.  Ok, so I just made that up.  But it could be true.  You never know.  They were rather good at foraging on the rocks.
