If I had to describe Jessica and Steve’s wedding in one phrase, I’d say it was classic and traditional with a twist.  They chose two gorgeous, classy locations in Victoria: The English Inn and The Union Club.  Jessica is a wedding planner and filled the day with beautiful little touches, from the decor to the garter toss.

This was the biggest wedding I’ve shot yet, with over a hundred guests, a large immediate family,  and an energetic bridal party.  We had a lot of fun hanging out with these guys all day and they even fed us some yummy food, including an amazing cheesecake.  The bridal party danced into the reception hall to tons of laughter and applause.  Instead of a bouquet toss, they did a bouquet dance where all the married couples danced and left  the floor in order of who had been married the shortest time, leaving Steve’s grandparents as the last couple and the receivers of the bouquet.  Steve and Jessica put on a wonderful show of retrieving the garter in a very Cabaret-like fashion.  We didn’t stay until the end of the night, but I’m sure it was a heck of a great party.

Thanks to Courtney Clarke for second shooting this wedding and for several images in this blog post including the pre-ceremony portraits of the groom and groomsmen, ceremony photos of the groom, The Kiss, various detail shots, and a bunch of great reception photos.
